In preparation for the panel install I spent some time securing wires and generally tidying it all up.
Locking down the transponder antenna
The CANBUS terminator on the electric compass and its ground wire were fixed to the bottom skin
Where wires go through the lightening holes I used the plastic ties to keep them away from the edge
But I’m not sure I’m real happy with it, might do something different. I don’t know why I didn’t drill holes through the metal and put a grommet in. Too late for that now.
And on both sides I tied cables together and secured/routed them along the side and bottom of the fuselage.
and
The next question is what route to run the wires to the panel. Do they go all the way to the firewall and back to the panel? Or maybe they can go up the where the cabin frame is? Either way, they need to be out of the way of our feet when we are sat in it.
I ordered battery cables today so a panel install isn’t far away.
