Just a short morning this weekend thanks to some events going on today and a work trip to Tokyo tomorrow. <\/p>\n

First thing on entering the hangar – the towel under the leak was wet, the pilot side line is still leaking. Grrr, and of course I made that nice cover for it last week. Well, that is out, needed to get more space in there for getting the spanner on the fittings. There was quite a bit of tightening available which is alarming, but now I hope the leak is fixed. Anyway, tank is gassed up and new paper put underneath. Keep your fingers crossed.<\/p>\n

Not sure now if I mentioned that I bought a fuel pressure sender. At the recommendation of the instructions it is mounted to the firewall and I will run a hose to a fitting on the engine. Last week it wasn’t at all obvious what fitting that was but some web based research revealed the answer (a 10mm x 1.0 if you are curious) and so I ordered a couple of fittings from Summit Racing to get the job done. A hex key enabled the removal of the stopper from the pressure sensor fitting on the fuel distribution block and the fitting installed<\/p>\n

Note that in order to get it on, the fuel return barb had to be loosened and rotated out of the way. Another fitting was installed into the pressure sender<\/p>\n

The only thing stopping this from being finished is some firesleeve which I will order just as soon as I’ve published this. Am also going to get some for the fuel return line.<\/p>\n

I drove to MGL during the week and hand delivered the panel for repair. I was able to get some good conversation with Matt, learned that the oil and coolant temps only register above 70F which is why right now they say 32. I was talking about how I had lost the retaining ring for the music input jack and he was super kind to give me one off a harness he had laying around. So it is now finally attached to the panel.<\/p>\n

Lastly I safety wired the throttle sheaths to the throttle wire assembly<\/p>\n
