{"id":1202,"date":"2017-04-23T20:43:58","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T04:43:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stol750project.info\/?p=1202"},"modified":"2017-04-24T20:49:46","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T04:49:46","slug":"fuselage-wrapping-still","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stol750project.info\/?p=1202","title":{"rendered":"Fuselage wrapping still"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend saw more wrapping, so this is a short post.<\/p>\n<p>Allen and I finished the side wrapping on the pilot side and completed the piece over the front.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/TZwvBX\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4162\/34125188441_8eac779021_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Side fuselage wrapped\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That was about it for one morning&#8217;s work so the following day I returned and with Teri&#8217;s help I got the root wing skins riveted on both sides.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/Uc2AFp\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2856\/34255345165_d35559b3d8_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Wing root skin wrapped\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also filled in yet more red inside the cabin<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/TZwrMn\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2809\/34125175531_3f2a0c552a_c.jpg?resize=600%2C800&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"More interior cabin wrap\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last week I had cut some vinyl fabric for a panel cover but I had cut it a bit too short. Fortunately I had enough to make a second one and this time I think I did a much better job and here is a picture of trial fitting it with the windscreen on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/U8ty3S\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2830\/34215143246_01f26f0d5a_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Panel cover under windshield\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Hard to tell what is going on, really. It is bunched up a bit where the cabin frame meets the firewall so it probably needs a bit of a trim. Hopefully next session I can get it stuck down and the windshield finally installed in place.
