To cut a medium length story short the top holes did not line up very well, and yet ages ago when they were drilled they were pretty good I thought. So the holes in the window got enlarged and angled towards the cabin frame hole and eventually there were screws all the way across.<\/p>\n<p>For good effect we put the cowl back on for the picture<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/U1iCJS\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4189\/34133992430_4e5759b6f6_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Windscreen installed\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not sure why I don&#8217;t have any close up pictures of the top attachment, maybe I will take some for next time.<\/p>\n<p>After lunch I returned and riveted the top window to the attachment that connects to the windscreen. I used the wrong rivets at first, so had to take them out and put the proper ones in.<\/p>\n<p>I think the lower corner of the windscreen is too long and so it is not in tight to the fuselage. To take care of this, on both sides, I drilled a hole for a screw.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/Umbp4m\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4187\/34358910542_008b628a8f_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Extra attachment for the windscreen\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next I hooked up the ELT to the antenna and did the very first test<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/UoT9JV\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4169\/34389494961_6d197c9a1d_c.jpg?resize=800%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"ELT Hooked up\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Using my hand held radio I tuned into 121.5 and was rewarded with the dulcet tones of the emergency beacon going off.
