\nI checked that the servo rod fits through the hole, it does.<\/p>\n
With the trim tab channel in place I had to mark and cut a hole in the front of the channel for the trim tab servo rod to go through. This rod will attach to the trim tab and enable it to be raised and lowered. A hole was pre-cut in the top edge of the channel but I had to mark and remove the metal from the front. I used a step drill bit to make a curved hole at the bottom of the cut and then snipped down to it. I then used an angle grinder to round out and smooth the edges. I think it came out pretty good, well better than I expected anyway.

After this I returned to an area that I had not finished previously: there is an L-angle that attaches the rear channel to the inboard rear ribs, and I had drilled into the rear channel but not the ribs. So I got out the air drill which has a much smaller head and drilled into the ribs and opened up all the holes to A4.

The nose skin comes in two parts and, much like the rudder nose skin, is installed by sliding in one side under the top and bottom skins and drilling through the already-drilled holes. I drew lines down each edge of the skins to give some guidance how far to push the edges in and after a bit of wiggling about I got them both in pretty good and tight against the ribs.

Visually it looks pretty good but before drilling I need to check that the skins are evenly distributed on both sides (they will look awful if not as they are riveted on top of the other skins), and that there is no twist in the assembly.
