First step to finishing the nose rib assembly is to open the holes for an A4 rivet. And then there is the deburring, always with the deburring. I still find a twist of a drill bit the most effective method.

\nNext comes primer and riveting.
\n\"\"
\nFour of these will be used “right away” once the first wing spar comes out of the box, the others will be put away for wing number 2.<\/p>\n

Back to the tail…. now my knife had arrived I could try to trim the skin edges that had come out so poorly with the snips. The knife looks like this

\nA quick test on an old strip revealed that this was going to work a treat! 3 or 4 pulls across a small part of the surface soon had the metal trimmed. I just had to work my way slowly along the skin. I started with the skin that hadn’t been cut yet.

\nand ended up with this super neat edge

\nThe earlier skin was more difficult because I had already trimmed that and was only trying to take a couple of mms off but I was able to get both skins looking great. I clecod both to one side of the tail assembly and next work day they will get riveted on and we’ll be onto the wings in earnest.<\/p>\n
