Time to start a brand new kit!! The tail definitely represents a new challenge in the construction, bigger pieces, and some intricate placing of parts. Anyway, the first act of the day was to take the tail parts out of the crate and put the flaperons in their place. When the tail is done we’ll have to find a new home for all these parts as the next crate will be bigger.
Here are some pictures of the parts for the stabilizer, minus the skin, on the bench.

There are two spars, a front and a rear, and each one takes two doublers, top and bottom, riveted inside the centre of the spar. The first task then was to mark the location of each doubler

clamp in place and then drill through each pre-drilled hole, first to size 40 and then to size 30. All I got done today was drilling the doublers to the rear spar.
