The Trim Tab Channel fits inside the skin and provides a place for the Trim Tab hinge to attach. I removed the tip rib and then pushed the channel into position and noted that the edge overlapped where the tip rib would go. I marked it up and trimmed the excess couple of mms off.
I put the channel back into the slot and lined it up with the edge of the skin so that it was even (I had previously marked the centre line down each flange). I clamped it in place the best I could and drilled holes through the skin and into the channel and cleco’d. Thanks to poor clamping/holding the channel moved slightly and so it is not flush with the edge. It isn’t off by much and I don’t think it has any aerodynamic effect, just looks a little sloppy on close inspection. Well, I never said I would be much good at this.
