ELT Antenna Complete (15 m)

Huzzah, I finally discovered why I had been continuously messing up the cable construction, the 10th watching of the EAA video on the subject pointed me to the error of my ways. Basically I was using the wrong hole for the pin, the proper hole has a small ridge in it that the pin sits in for crimping, otherwise it gets smashed.

Cable made, Teri and I went to the hangar to hook it up

Plugging in the cable

That should be the last time I crawl in the back, I hope.

With the antenna installed, I can now rivet the rear fuselage components in place, which includes the baggage back that will make getting in to work in the back difficult from thereon. Teri and I put the rear fuselage back on the horses.

Antenna Installed, ready to rivet rear fuselage

Big few days deburring and riveting ahead.
