While cleaning up the workspace I decided that I wanted to put the control stick in the cockpit, just so that it was there. It fits on the torque tube by lining up the holes in both and then inserting a bushing into the hole and then a long screw which is held in place by a self locking nut.
It took a bit of effort to get the stick to go over the tube but once in place the screw went in nicely, I just hand tightened it for now, and the control stick is in place.
Not sure what to do next. I’d quite like the engine mounted before the summer is over (though we’ll need to take steps to protect it from all the dust during the shutdown)…. maybe the rudder and control cables could be next…. or shall I continue on with the windows and doors?
