Pilot Control Grip

Last week I added to the pile of parts by buying two grips for the control stick. On the pilot side is the Ray Allen 101, a simple grip with just a push to talk switch in the end.

But for the pilot side I went with the Ray Allen G305

It features a four way hat type activator that you can use to wire up two servos so that you can control them from the stick. I only plan to wire up the elevator trim so could have gone with the G303, which is just 2-axis, but I figured that if I like it I might decide to wire up the flaps at a later date.

There’s a push to talk switch on the back (the picture I took was useless in showing this). The wiring looks pretty simple though I think you will need the eyes of a child to see well enough to get it right.

I think this completes the inventory to finish the plane (barring wires, thread lockers and other consumables). How exciting is that?
