I had set myself the goal of having panel first light up over Thanksgiving so I needed to get the battery to hook it up to. My plan is to get the avionics electrical side all working and then understand and set the engine side, too much to do it all at once.
For this then we need the battery and the starter relay installed on the firewall.
BOOM.
They’re not actually bolted on right because I didn’t have screws short enough but they are in position. Next is to determine the breach point of the firewall for cables to go through and then measure cable lengths for the battery to the relay, the relay to the power panel, and the battery to a ground point. Then I’ll have the family equipment rental shop make me some cables.
Then the panel will be back in the plane and hooking up can begin.
Oh yeah, I’ve already given up on the Thanksgiving goal 🙂
