Started the day with drilling the second nose skin in place, all to size 40.
Then I opened all the holes in the spar and tip ribs to their final size, most are A4 but as you can see some need to be A5.
To attach the skins to the nose ribs you kinda have to take a stab in the dark because the flanges are under the skin and you can’t see them. The plans tell you the measurements to use but I was pretty nervous about getting it wrong but in the end I did mostly ok.
It’s easier on the tip ribs because earlier we had marked the ‘no drill’ locations and you can see the marks.
With all nose skins now drilled to their final size I removed the skins to make it easier to work on the next phases.
