The final day of drilling on the elevator! First I flipped the elevator over and drilled out the remaining holes to their final sizes.

I then started disassembling everything, marking everything I could with letters to help identify where they go during the re-assembly. Hopefully learning my lesson from the stabiliser!
During insertion of the trim tab under the skin I had noticed that one corner was fitting a little stiff, and possibly even rubbing against the corner so when I removed the trim tab I took a little off the corner and rounded it.

I will check this again before riveting.
Eventually I had every part disassembled and placed on the bench for the painful part of deburring, so many holes!!! Ah, but nothing compared to the wings to come….

(the nose skins are under the bench top)
