On to the horizontal stabilizer
and installed on the tail.
From there we started on the elevator but only had time to do (the easier) half.
The electric trim on the other side makes it a bit more difficult. We will cover the trim piece separately so that it can operate.
I came across this neat idea for wiring the electric trim on the elevator.
So in preparation for installing the elevator, I put some D-sub connectors on the wire that will run down the fuselage to the rocker switch/panel. For this I needed a new tool, a crimper just for D-Subs.
and here are the connectors on the end of the five wire cable.
They’ll get heat shrink wrapped just as soon as I get some tubing that fits, all I had was too thin or too fat.
